After working with Capra as a consultant on a number of projects, Helen joined the board in August 2007.
Helen has a wealth of experience in the commercialisation of life science and health technologies and has provided a range of business planning, technology assessment and project management services to public and private sector organisations.
Helen’s career has spanned over 20 years in Health and Life Sciences, with the last 14 years in consulting & senior management roles focussed on the commercialisation of new technologies. Helen’s experience encompasses roles in business operations and marketing, most recently as VP Corporate Development at Clinical Cell Culture, responsible for R&D project management and product development. Her previous experience includes roles in Marketing with Argus Biomedical Pty Ltd (a spin out company from the Lion’s Eye Institute), Strategic Business Development with Mayne Health and as State Manager for Crown Scientific Pty Ltd.
Helen holds a Bachelor’s degree with Honours in Pathology and a Masters of Business Administration (Advanced) from the University of Western Australia. Helen has held elected positions in local and national industry associations, including roles with the Science Industry Association, Chair of the WA Chemical Industry – WA Police Liaison Committee and WA AusBiotech Committee.
